I was delighted to capture this poppy with its beautiful seed pod just as the sun was setting and striking it with light.
Every year I wait rather impatiently for my violet irises to bloom. When they finally blossom I gleefully photograph them every day. This is one from Spring of 2016 with the late afternoon sunlight creating sharp contrasts.
These lovely waterlilies were photographed at the Como Park Conservatory. The intense colors were beyond belief. In working with the photograph, I selectively removed the color, while allowing one bloom to shine.
This waterlily was photographed at the Como Park Conservatory as the sunlight was bouncing off of the water creating dramatic lighting. I love waterlilies and photograph them whenever I find them blooming, and sometimes even when their buds are closed tightly but full of potential.
